Denominated at 15 Mils (15 Milliemes), it features a distinct dual-date inscription in both Arabic and Latin scripts marking the event ("14 Dec. 1955 – 1956" / "١٤ ديسمبر ١٩٥٥ – ١٩٥٦"). The central design showcases a detailed map outlining the geographical borders of Libya and its three historic constituent provinces: Tripolitania (Tripolitaine / طرابلس), Cyrenaica (Cyrénaïque / برقة), and Fezzan (Fezzan / فزان), with major administrative centers including Tripoli, Benghazi, and Sebha marked. At the heart of the map stands the national parliament building flanked by two crossed flags: the United Nations flag on the left and the royal flag of the Kingdom of Libya on the right. The bottom margin highlights the stylized Arabic calligraphy "ليبيا وطننا" ("Libya, Our Homeland").
